Simister Circular#3 - Egypt Lane Traditional Cache

This is one of a series of 9 caches (including church micro) on a circular route which starts and finishes in Simister.  The route is approximately 5.2 km and will take about 1 hr 40 mins.  

Simister is a small village in Prestwich, within the Metropolitan Borough of Bury. Historically part of Lancashire. 

The Simister Village Community Association, formed in 2000, is in the process of developing a 10 acre wetland site. It has installed stone paths at a cost of £30,000 funded by grants obtained by the Committee. Woodland maintenance will be carried out during the winter using further grants.

Access to this cache is either through Simister Green or via a footpath adjacent to Well Bank Cottage, 63 Simister Lane or direct from Simister lane to Egypt Lane itself.
