Join your fellow geocachers on Saturday morning, March 14th at 9:00 am, for some geo-fellowship on the Warner Robins campus of Middle Georgia State College. Hopefully it will be a nice cool morning for an outside social time! It's probably too early for actual "pie," but there may be a doughnut or two! We'll visit, sign the log, and do some pre-walk stretching. The event will end at exactly 9:26 am!
Are you ready for a challenge: At exactly 9:26 am (the value of PI is 3.1415926....), when the event ends, many of us will begin a 5K Geo-Walk together. It is not a timed race, just an exercise walk with your caching friends. We will take 3 loops around the campus, with mini-breaks after each mile, for a total of 3.14 miles (approx. 5K). The walk will begin and end at the posted event coordinates.
You do not have to participate in the 5K to log the event. The event is the social gathering from 9:00 - 9:26 am. But we sure hope you will hang around and join us! If you do arrive late, you should be able to spot our group somewhere along the campus trail, or just visit in the parking lot. See you on Pi Day!
Groundspeak has promised a souvenir for cachers who attend a Pi Day 2015 event!
