We will be assisting with the planting of one thousand longleaf pine seedlings in a section of the park that has been recently clear-cut and burned.
The Conservation Park was opened to the public in the fall of 2011, and has over 22 miles of trails for hiking and biking. We have been placing caches in the park with the permission of park management and now will assist in the planting of pine seedlings.
Let's assemble at 9:30 a.m. around the visitor center for orientation and then be transported to the area to receive the new seedlings.
