The Sophie Gen Waka (Taranaki) Traditional Cache

Te Mete Park is a relatively unknown park here in New Plymouth against the bigger parks like Pukekura. But has the wonderful appeal of being quiet with a little playground for the kids and a huge playing field for soccer, rugby or running the dog. No golfing allowed unfortunately.

Cache is a camo yogurt container with swappables for the kids. This cache was created by a young girl ( Sophie) staying with my children and I over the holidays. Having never created a cache myself we decided to try our luck together. This park is a regular place where my boys play soccer so seemed like a good place to start our caching experiment.
