Luče so gručasta vas kakih 300 prebivalcev na severovzhodnem robu kraškega polja Lučki dol. Dolenjsko podolje omejujeta slemeni Škrjanke (610m) na severovzhodu in Bukovja (Mali Vrh, 552m) na jugozahodu.
Prva omemba vasi sega v leto 1062 in je v povezavi s stiško posestjo. Po ljudskem izročilu naj bi bili Lučani potomci enega moža s priimkom Pajk, ki je skrit v Lučki jami preživel pohod Turkov. Lučka jama (Stari grad) je izvir Radenščice, ki pod zemljo priteka iz Radenskega polja in se preko Lučkeda dola razliva do dveh urejenih požiralnikov in v izvir reke Krke. Sredi dola stoji idilična cerkvica Svetega Ožbolta.
Skozi Luče poteka znamenita kolesarska pot Grosuplje – Krka.
Luče so vpisane v register slovenske kulturne dediščine in so zelo aktiven kraj.

Luce is a clustered village of some 300 inhabitants in the north-eastern edge of the karst field Lučki dol. Carstic basin is bounded with ridges Škrjanke (610m) to the northeast and Bukovje (Mali summit, 552m) to the southwest.
The first mentioning of the village dates back to the year 1062 in conjunction with the Stična property. According to legend Lučanians should be descendants of one single man with the surname Pajk, which hidded in Luče cave and survived the march of the Turks. Luče cave (Stari Grad) is the source of stream Radenščica, that underground comes from Radensko field and spills over Luče field where goes underground again through two sinkholes and fills the spring of river Krka. In the middle of Luče dol stands idyllic church of St. Oswald.
Through Luče goes famous cycling route Grosuplje – Krka.
Luče are listed in the register of Slovenian cultural heritage and are very active place.
