Geocache Description:

The cache is at the posted coordinates, and can be signed at any time. But you must first meet the requirements below before you can log a smiley on this challenge.

This is the third of what I hope is a few challenges I would like to place in honor of my favorite albums. The challenge will be to find caches for each of the tracks on a given album. The rules are as followed:

  • You must find a different cache for each of the tracks of the album.
  • If the song title has multiple words, I will take any words in the title except conjunctions (and, or, but, nor, yet, so, for), articles (a, an, the), and short prepositions (in, to, of, at, by, up, for, off, on). I will make the words I will accept in BOLD.
  • The words must appear in the cache title and can't be part of another word. (ie: dishrag is not allowed for rag.)
  • You can have found the caches at anytime.

This time I have chosen an album that was one of my favorite during my high school years, Disintegration by The Cure.  I still find myself listing to this one on those cold foggy days we have so often in San Francisco.  Released in 1989, the record marks a return to the introspective and gloomy gothic rock style the band had established in the early 1980s. As he neared the age of thirty, vocalist and guitarist Robert Smith had felt an increased pressure to follow up on the group's pop successes with a more enduring work. This, coupled with a distaste for the group's newfound popularity, caused Smith to lapse back into the use of hallucinogenic drugs, the effects of which had a strong influence on the production of the album.

  1. "Plainsong" (I will allow for either Plain or Song even though the title is one word.)
  2. "Pictures of You"
  3. "Closedown" (I will allow for either Close or Down even though the title is one word.)
  4. "Lovesong" (I will allow for either Love or Song even though the title is one word.)
  5. "Last Dance
  6. "Lullaby"
  7. "Fascination Street"
  8. "Prayers for Rain" (I will allow Rainbow to make this a little easier.)
  9. "The Same Deep Water as You"
  10. "Disintegration" (I will allow you to count this cache since there is only one other qualifing cache in the US.)
  11. "Homesick" (I will allow for either Home or Sick even though the title is one word.)
  12. "Untitled" (I will allow Title to make this a little easier.)

This might take a little travel. All the caches do exist in CA at the time of publising.  You are required to list the 12 caches that qualifiy in your log.

I like challanges and I love music and this seems like a fun way to mix the two. Feel free to place your own cache in the series if you like the idea. (Feel free to use the banner as well.) I would love to see others favorite albums and would like the challenge of completeing them.
