Geocache Description:

A park-and-grab near a beautiful master-planned community.  Log only, bring your own tweezers and writing device. One space per cacher, please. No large stamps or stickers to preserve log space.

I ride my bicycle past this area regularly and remember how in 2007 the land was cleared, utilities stubbed, streets laid out and models built for this Master Planned Community.  Unfortunately, before they could secure the first 10 homesites, 2008 rolled around and the bottom fell out of the housing market.  One day I rode by the area and noticed that the model homes that had been built just months before had been completely demolished so the developers would not have to pay taxes on the model homes until the housing market turned around.  (Talk about a consumable culture!)  The barricades and gates went up and the whole area sat ready for development until 2013.  It looks like it may be slow going for the entire Phase I to be built out, but this entire community will likely be kept in immaculate shape by the developers until it is.  Enjoy!
