Hofu Mourishi Teien is an old Hagi lord Mourishi's garden.
Garden to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the four seasons while walking around the "gourd pond".
Part of the residence has been exhibited a lot of treasure of Mourishi.

* Opening hours: 9:00 to 17:00 (admission until 16:30)
* Museum admission fees: Adults 700 yen, junior high school or less 350 yen (1,000 yen for adults on the occasion of special exhibition, junior high school students below 500 yen)
* Garden admission fee: Adults 400 yen, junior high school students below 200 yen
(Garden&museum common admission fee: adults 1,000 yen, junior high school or less 500 yen (1,200 yen for adults on the occasion of special exhibition, junior high school students below 600 yen))
* Closed: December 22 to 31 (gardens, seven days a week)

防府毛利氏庭園は、旧萩藩主毛利氏により大正5年（1916）に建てられ、国の名勝に指定されています。
庭園はひょうたん池を巡る回遊式で、四季折々の景観が楽しめます。
特に桜や紅葉のシーズンには大勢の観光客で賑わいます。
邸宅の一部を毛利博物館の展示室と して、毛利元就ゆかりの品をはじめ、国宝や重要文化財を含む約2万点の宝物を所蔵展示しています。
