Brumbaugh Mountain received its name from The early settlers. Brumbaughs owned 800 acres in the southern Cove area.
In the early years trouble with the Indians of the Six Nations caused many to flee from the area.In the 1800's German immagrants settled in the Cove. Many were Dunkards. From the top of the mountain you have a good view of the southern Cove area. If you look you might even spot some horse annd buggies of the present day Mennenites.
