Geocache Description:

Should be a pretty easy find. Just a few paces off the main trail. Permission has been granted by county park authority.

 

 

 

 

Tree had fallen on cache. We’ve retreived and replaced 12/17/22. More This pond is a great place to come hike around and look for frogs and tadpoles. But it has a more sinister side. In the spring of 2014 federal agents with the FBI scoured this area including this pond for a gun that was linked to an earlier murder in Alexandria.

Note: Some a-hole stole this geocache earlier this year, but I replaced with a new one Dec. 22, 2019. The cache was moved off the waypoint but has since been returned as of Dec. 6, 2020. Included a new log book and pencil with some minor swag.
