Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside! And so does Kanga!
This event follows on from a conversation I had with a fellow cacher who commented on meet-ups often being held in pubs and not in other places. I love Exmouth and the beach, and more importantly, I happen to rather enjoy ice cream...
Exmouth main beach closes to dogs from the end of April to end of September, so I wanted to bring Kanga down before she was banned for having four legs and fur.
The general idea is this - meet up at the Octagon at 2pm for ice cream and beachy frolicks. A webcam cache photo (everything being in order!) will be taken at 2:15pm of everyone at the event at that time - so you can claim 2 caches in one! The event will "officially" finish at 3pm, but if its cold weather or what have you, people are free to do as they please!
There are a number of other caches along the seafront which people can do, as well as a pleasant sidetracked at the station.
Free parking is available along some of the side streets (Victoria Road etc.) but otherwise P&D parking is available along the esplinade.
So please, come cacher and geodog and enjoy some ice cream, water and sand.
Look out for me on the beach - I will be there with a large-eared dog, a kite with blue and orange tails, a purple backpack and probably an ice cream!
