Again this year, Honey Creek Resort at Lake Rathbun has been chosen for this year’s event. Please join us in Ballroom A.
This event is open to everyone, You do not need to be a member of the IGO to attend.
This is a family friendly event, and there will be fun all evening long. Doors open for Award show at 7:30pm. The IGO People’s Choice Awards with begin promptly at 8:00 p.m.
After the success of last year's event, The IGO wants to once again have an evening to honor the achievements of our caching community.
The evening’s events will include: Opening Ceremonies and Presentation of Categories to include three Nominees in each. People’s Choice Categories are:
1) Outstanding Series – This would be a bike trail, or a series of “like” themed caches.
2) Outstanding Geo-art – This would be a series of caches that form a picture on the map.
3) Outstanding Scenery - A cache where the view just blows you away.
4) Most Creative – Maybe a well thought out puzzle, or a great container. Something really creative.
5) Outstanding Event – Did you attend an event that you really enjoyed?
6) Newcomer of the year – Is there a new cacher in your area that is really placing some great caches, getting lots of finds, or just fun to cache with.
7) Iowa’s Most Favorited Cache 2014 – the cache placed in Iowa during 2014 that has received the most favorite points.
8) The Host with the Most – Who has hosted the most events in Iowa, and gets people out and caching? There may be a few surprises thrown in as well.
Nominations are being accepted through Feb. 12, 2015.
Voting will run from February 15 through March 30, 2015.
