Enjoy a hike along the Mid State Trail. From parking to cache and back is roughly 5 miles. The terrain is not bad. Only about 175ft elevation difference during the hike. No bushwhacking needed. Just an enjoyable hike along the ridge. There are a few areas to look out above the Cove and also out the Raystown side. Please abide the property markers. The MST is very well marked by the Orange paint markers.
During the hike for placement, I saw four deer. In the snow, I saw many deer tracks, grouse tracks, turkey tracks, and even a set of small bear tracks.
Please be sure to have a set of replacement batteries. The path is very well marked. But you never know. The cache is just of the right side of the path as you walk from parking. Cache container is tupperware wrapped in camo duct tape. About 3" high and 6" wide. The Hint is a complete Spoiler.
