BYOP. Cache is not located in the cemetery, but you can see it out in the field about 400' E of the cache spot. The cemetery is on private property and if you wish to visit the cemetery, please acquire proper permission from the landowners. High terrain rating because the ditch is steep but shouldn't be too bad if dry. Might be tough to find if drifted in.
Van Metre Cemetery is located in Section 32 of Union Township, Benton County, Iowa. It is also referred to as Bishop's Grove Cemetery but serves primarily as a pioneer burial ground for the Van Metre family. This cemetery is located on private property in the middle of a farm field. There is a lane to the N and W of the cemetery but the gate is locked. This has been designated at Benton County "Sacred Ground" (a pioneer cemetery).
