Geocache Description:

Welcome to a stop on the Dauset "Power" Trail!

Check out the bookmark list and you will find this is one of 32 caches that will take you
on a 6.7 mile journey around a portion of Dauset Trails Nature Center.

This trail will start at the Mountain Bike trail head and travel to the northeast, then northwest
corners before returning to the parking area.

Trailhead and Parking coordinates are on the pages for cache number 1 and 16
(this is done in order to keep you form having 60 extra waypoints in your GPS).

This trail will take you near a couple of other caches in the park, including a fun field puzzle,
I hope you will enjoy the whole park looking for other caches as well.

There is a trail map available online HERE.
There are trail maps at the parking area as well as a place to sign in and out.
Please take a moment and read the trail rules on the kiosk board.

The board says no pets, but that was changed in 2012 to allow pets on a 6 ft. leash
in the trail area only, absolutely no pets in the animal area.
I do not recommend taking your furry friend if they do not like bicycles,
bikes are quiet and can sneak up on you and they have the right of way here.

The caches are a mix of matchstick tubes(4), ammo cans(6), larger tubes(4), and a variety of lockable plastic containers. Many containers are within 20 feet of trail, but there are a few flyers.

Please use the D/T ratings when looking for and replacing caches, if it is a 1.5 difficulty
please do not bury it under 4 inches of leaves and bark.

I do not know how well cell phones work in the back of the park, please advise someone of where you are going and when you will return. If you decide to do the whole trail in a day, please be prepared as if you were doing a day hike in the mountains.

Bring food water and necessities to stay healthy, and get back out.

In case you can't tell, this is not your avarage power trail! I tried one once and quit after 5 caches. This trail is intended to give those that love the outdoors a place to spend a day and get some numbers at the same time. I hope you all enjoy the trail.

Please remember: Bicycles have the right of way, practice Leave No Trace,
and thank the land owner in some manner if you enjoy the trails.

Permission to hide this cache has been approved by the Land Manager,
all caches in the park must be approved.
