It was originally built around 1767 near Tournai. Following the competition of modern mills, it almost disappeared. The passion of one man, Dr. Duthoit, saved him. Acquired in 1930 and lovingly restored, he experienced a second youth in Arc-Ainières, in Hainaut. In 1960, the widow of Dr. Duthoit gave it to the municipality of Woluwe-Saint-Lambert which transfered it to its territory. Twenty years later, a fire necessitated another major restoration and rebuilding to its current location Avenue Emmanuel Mounier, in the meadow of the Hof ter Musschen, near Avenue Hippocrates and the Boulevard de la Woluwe.
It can be visited all year, every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month from 14 am to 18 pm and every first Sunday of the month from 10 am to 18 pm.
