In 1967 the City of Ames purchased this piece of land from the railroad and established a small park.It is now overgrown and looks a little forlorn but once you get in here it is quiet peaceful with many rabbits watching you and occasionally spooking nearly underfoot. Plaese replace container as you find it and enjoy the hike.During Summer you will want bug spray and druing winter you want someone to know where you are.
