This geocache is the first for me (in hopefully a series of Art-Themed caches). It is hidden in one of my favorite spots in the desert. As an artist and a collector of old junk- this place is very inspirational to me.
I use to walk around in the desert when I was younger and find "treasures" aka old bottles, interesting rocks & old junk. This place was like my own private GOLD MINE (until they built house near by)! There are several similar sites in what use to be the Old Dump Site in Boulder City. Much of the glass has been melted and broken over the years- due to how they use to burn garbage. As an artist I still find inspiration in these places I use to frequent.
This Artcache is hidden inside of a handmade ceramic bottle that I cast from one I acquired many years ago. This bottle was part of an art installation at P3Studios & similar bottles are used in many of my sculptures and mosaics.
