Geocache Description:

This joint EVENT, from Pamalijn (NL) and MK+WA (SC), will be on Saturday 2nd May 2015 near the Old Fort in Fort William.

Time: 10.00 - 10.30

We will recognize eachother by wearing something ORANGE (!), small or big. This is because King William III of Orange (1689 - 1702) was at the same time Stadtholder Willem III van Oranje in the Netherlands (1672 - 1702) and the Old Fort was named after King William.

So we think the Old Fort is a good place for this Event.

More information about the history: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_William,_Scotland

There will be one Free Special Woody (with GC-number and date) for everyone who attends. The name of the Event will be on the Woody.

Of course there will be Dutch titbits for coffee-time: perhaps treacle waffles and also something for the dog! (N.B. we don't provide the coffee ...... :-)

Please write in the "Will Attend" log with how many people you intend to come and how many Woodies you would like. Extra Woodies 2 GBP.

Because MK+WA were very helpful in organising this Event we are sure they also have an interesting extra activity for this Event. So bring your GPS etc. with you.

About us.

After many years of Alpine climbing we started visiting Scotland for munroing (114 now). This year we will stay in Scotland for 5 weeks.

The joys of geocaching are fantastic extras in the Highlands. We were delighted to see so many interesting caches and had great contacts with cachers - and COs - all over the Highlands. But we know most of the cachers and COs only by name.

We organize this Event because we would like to meet many cachers as fond of Scotland as we are.

P.S. We changed our name from pappalijn to pamalijn last summer (after our last Scotland-visit).
