Please note after going missing for a third time we have moved the cache to a hopefully more secure location. The coordinates have changed from N53 42.694 W0 53.408 to N53 42.734 W0 53.392 which is approx 77 yards from the original location. It is now a black tube. Please make sure it is replaced out of sight. West Park was originally laid out in the shape of a crown in 1923 with financial help from the Unemployed Grants Committee and officially opened on 13th September 1923. The park, bandstand, bowling green and cafe have been refurbished by Goole Town Council with help from the Heritage Lottery Fund. It was reopened on 5th May 2014 when the bandstand was dedicated to Frank Ella MBE, a well known local musician. Goole Town Council organises various events in the park including the very popular Bonfire and Fireworks on 5th November.
This cache has been placed with kind permission of Goole Town Council. It is a black tube. Please use stealth as the park is a favourite dog walking area and it can be very busy at times especially in the summer.
