The Woodbury Heritage Society reports that Bailey Road was the first town road in Woodbury and was surveyed in 1852. That was 6 years before Minnesota became a State! The original name of the road is unknown, but it was later renamed after the Bailey family who own a large business near this cache.

Woodbury has been one of Minnesota's fastest growing cities for the past three decades and the 2010 US census shows it is now the state’s 9th largest city, with over 61,000 people. It is also the largest city in Washington County.
