For ten years I have been entering this beautiful Valley via a secret entrance to observe all the wildlife in the area. The Valley has it's own micro climate and is home to a diverse range of wonderful Flora and Fauna. I have logged all the wildlife over 12 years and My Cuckoo has arrived on April the 29th 8 out of those 10 years and on May the 3rd the other two years. Obviously not the same bird as they only live five years but they all sing from the same song sheet.
The sightings are too numerous to mention but my favourites are Cuckoo, Buzzard, Sparrow Hawk, Curlew, Snipe, Woodcock, Little and Tawny Owl, Bullfinch and the odd Muntjac under the trees. Wild flowers are everywhere in the spring and wonderful strange shaped Fungi can be found.
