Geocache Description:

This is our second cache set up along this bush track. The cache is located at the abandoned sandstone quarry near stringbark creek. The sandstone from this quarry was used in the 1920s for building Centennial Ave. The sandstone blocks were blasted out with gelignite and taken out with horses. You'll still see a number of unused sandstone blocks at the site.

Getting to the location of the cache is an easy and enjoyable bushwalk on an established track however retrieveing the actual cache may require some stength. Please dont pull or use force to retrieve the cache and please return the camo the way you found it thank you. Also note that the GPS accuracy is poor because of the tree cover.

The bushtrack goes between Centennial Ave and Stringybark reserve. There is no parking on Centennial Ave but there are side streets to park in. There is also parking on Murray street outside Stringybark reserve. If you take the path from the reserve, why not try to find our other cache on the way! (Stringybark Creek - GC5KP5N)
