Urban Being - Hatfield Traditional Cache

“Urban Being” is situated in front of a hotel and business complex in Hatfield Pretoria. It was commissioned by the developers and donated to the city. This large man is fabricated in 8mm mild steel plate, he stands 12m tall, and weighs approximately 8.2 tons. The majority of the steel plate was left to rust, whereas a few plates were painted. The Urban Being was fabricated in November 2010, and the sculpture was erected on 4 December 2010.

 

"This is a quick and easy roadside nano" ;) Bieng my first cache I was advised to keep it simple. 

Please use caution and your best CIA tactics to disguise your activities as this is a VERY high Muggle traffic area. The quietest times at this site is probably weekday mornings when all the students are in class or during school holidays. The cache is not on the statue itself or the plants and can easily be reached from the pavement.
