Geocache Description:

This is an Event were all Geocachers are welcome. There has been some talk (for years) about Pi being a more complicated way of doing math. Why do we nationaly recognize Pi when Tau is so much easier and less complicated? ...or is it??? Come by and share your thoughts if you want and see a short Debate on Pi vs Tau. You don't want to miss the antics! :o)

What better way to start a day of caching than with friends, a good laugh and donuts! There is some educational stuff that we are going to throw around but I promise it won't make your brain hurt.

What is Pi Day? Pi Day is an annual celebration commemorating the mathematical constant π (Pi=3.14159265359). The sequential time will occur on the Event day - 3/14/15 at 9:26:53 am/pm, this only happens once every 100 years and follows the sequence of Pi to the 10th Digit.

Tau, also a mathematical constant τ (Tau=6.28318530718) has yet to have its own nationally recognized day. This sequential time will Not occur Until 6/28/31 at 8:53:07 am/pm, this only happens once every 100 years and follows the sequence of Tau to the 10th Digit. Yet Tau wants some recognition, so we have set up a little Debate and at the end of the Event we are asking you to Vote. Who will win?

!!!We are going to have a (mock) Smack Down with Pi vs Tau in the back Parking Lot!!! Oh yeah, It's Gonna Happen! Be There to See Who Gets Served!!!

★ 15 min. Demo Starts at 8:15 am *DON'T BE LATE*

★ Drop your Pi or Tau Vote in the bucket at 9:00 am

★ Pi or Tau Smack-down at 9:15 am

★ Group Picture at 9:26:53 am w/Nerd Glasses (You can bring your own glasses.)

★ Grab a sheet with coords. for the Pi Themed Geocaches that have been placed.

★ Grab the near by Letter Box if you haven't already. Need help, just ask.
