Geocache Description:

This cache is located at Walker Creek boat ramp on Yonah Dam Road in Toccoa, GA.  The boat ramp is operated by the Army Corps of Engineers and services the Tugaloo River, which leads into Lake Hartwell. This is a small container with a log.

This is a popular boat ramp for some very good fishing; it usually attracts a crowd on any given day. The annual Tugaloo River History Tour, sponsored by Tugaloo Bend, uses this location for their launch site each Saturday on the weekend of Memorial Day every year.

This cache brings a little challenge with it. It can be done alone, but a partner will likely make it easier. BYOP!

P.F.D. stands for Personal Flotation Device. During the Second World War service man named their yoked flotation devices after a popular celebrity Mae West. Those airman saved by the device were inducted into the Goldfish Club. As posted onsite, please follow regulations and always wear your life jacket when boating. The Goldfish Club is proud of all new members!
