Geocache Description:

The hundred-year-old Forbes Street Wall Trees in Kennedy Town is quite famous and was mentioned in some TV shows. There were 27 trees, mainly Ficus microcarpa. What a shame that one of them was damaged in a typhoon, and it seems some of them were cut. Now, 4 of them were recorded in the Register of old and valuable tree, and I was told that the oldest one is over 100 years old! I think this wall deserve a cache concerning its ecological and historical value.

In the original plan of the MTR corporation, Forbes Street Playground was chosen to be one of the exit of the Kennedy Town station. That means, impact to the football and basketball courts, and hence this wall of trees adhered to, are unavoidable.  Some nature conservating organisations and district parties work very hard to preserve this wall and trees. I am glad that they won the battle, so that these wall trees can be preserved! Afterall, it is proven that the MTR can still extended to there without destroying such lovely place!

The GPS signal is jumpy here. Please project the coordinate on Google Map to locate GZ instead.

The hiding place (Forbes Street) is quite busy, please be stealthy.

The Cache: The camouflaged cache is quite fragile, please be gentle and handle with great care. Thanks!
