First things first: the cache container is a camouflaged, medium sized container, hidden out of sight, so please make sure you re-hide it discretely. There is plenty of room to park well off the Highway, but you will need to keep a close check on any geokiddies or geobeasts. Also keep an eye out for muggle traffic when retrieving the container; it can come from 4 directions very quickly!
So, how do you pronounce it and where is Bearii ? Bearii is pronounced "Beer eye", so that should be easy to remember!
There is a nice little park a few short minutes down the road, at the "Bearii Oasis" which is a good rest stop, with public toilets, playground and a bit of peace and quiet!
The quiet village of Bearii, population of 145(last census), is located approx. 250 kms north of Melbourne; a pleasant 2.5hour drive. The township has the advantage of the picturesque Murray River close by for fishing, swimming, camping and boating activities. Bearii is an interesting community, surrounded by farmland, bushland (the Barmah forest along the River Murray) and populated with an interesting mix of people, many coming to the area for a "Tree/ Escape Change,".
Bearii is central to the towns of Cobram in the east, Nathalia in the west, Numurkah in the south and Tocumwal (NSW) in the north - all being approx. 30 minutes away. Further afield are the cities of Shepparton, Yarrawonga, Echuca and Deniliquin, all taking around 45-60minutes travel by car.
