This cache replaced the orginal placed by dtn92129 (GC1D43V) Penny for Your Thought hidden 6/10/08 and archived 1/31/15. The original name was a reference to the name of the original establishment (Penny Lane) adjacent to the cache location/setting. The cache setting (a decomissioned British telephone booth) was part of the establishment theme. The business was rebranded but the cache location remained unchanged. Over the years, the sidewalk adjacent to the phone booth was repaved and rendered the door inoperable but the cache was still accessible by reaching into the booth. In a September 2023 remodel, the telephone booth was wrapped in black-painted plywood and a surf board was mounted to it. Today, visitors to the cache location (or the establishment) may be curious about this feauture's shape and odd use of space.
