A quiet spot to enjoy the scenery
Under the false pretenses of being the first to find a new geocache I lured my girlfriend out to this spot on the lake to propose to her. I tucked the ring into a magnetic key box and painted the top with the words "marry me?". She said yes! It was a bit risky leaving a diamond engagement ring out in the middle of a public lake but I felt confident in the simplicity of the hiding spot. The lake itself is a fantastic place to get away without having to drive miles into the wilderness. It has walking trails, fishing, boating, cabins, and camping available. A great place to cool off during the heat of the Alabama summers. Congrats to kaaloas for the FTF! You move fast! (UPDATE 10-28-2015) I have graduated flight school and my new wife and family and I are headed to Kansas. If this cache needs maintenance, please do so as I will not be able to check on it until I return for training in the future. Thank you. Happy Caching!
