Just out of Tea Gardens, with views over Port Stephens, this geocache location is sure to please. It is very easy to locate on the drive in and/or out of town, some 6.5 km from the Pacific Highway. The Lion's Park & Lookout is very popular with visitors to the area, providing great views over Port Stephens - including views of the Singing Bridge, Tomaree and Yacaaba Headlands and the various islands of the coast.
The park provides basic picnic and toilet facilities, along with ample parking spaces - not a bad spot for a break, lunch or somewhere to simply stretch the legs after a few hours of travelling, bushwalking or even geocaching.
Remember, if looking for the geocache do not become obsessed with the view or you will miss the geocache. It is not to be found at the lookout itself.
