Waldduft am Meer
Solange man Eraclea Mare- auch als ‚die Grüne Perle der Adria' bekannt - nicht gesehen hat, kann man sich die besondere Atmosphäre von dessen natürlichen Umwelt kaum vorstellen.
Man muss vor allem an den Harzduft von 3.500 Pinien denken - wie stille Geschöpfe hinter dem Sandstrand - und an einen weiten Strand mit kleinen, von Tamarisken bedeckten Dünen, der sich wie ein langer Streifen ohne Unterbrechung am Meer erstreckt.
Wenn man diesen, jedes Jahr von tausenden Badegästen besuchten Küsten-streifen, den üppigen Pinienwald und das ganze Gebiet betrachtet, würde man nicht vermuten, dass dahinter Arbeit von über eineinhalb Jahrhunderten steckt.
Eben solange dauerten nämlich die Trockenlegungsarbeiten, wodurch die Gegend in eine Urlaubsortschaft inmitten der Natur verwandelt wurde. Tausend landwirtschaftliche Hilfsarbeiter und die Mühe von ganzen Generationen stehen hinter der heutigen Ortschaft.
Marco Aurelio Pasti ließ Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts sein Landstück zwischen dem Revedoli Kanal und dem Meer trockenlegen.
Er pflückte in einem Pinienwald von Ravenna einige Pinienkerne des „ Pinus Italicus“ , bracht sie nach Eraclea Mare und säte sie dort an. So entstand mit der Zeit der herrliche Pinienwald von Eraclea Mare und damit auch die heutigen Ortschaft.
Auch ein Drache lebt in diesem Pinienwald. Er passt auf Eraclea Mare auf. Er ist leider sehr einsam und möchte ab und zu gestreichelt werden. Da wir leider erst im Mai 2024 nach Eraclea Mare kommen, bitten wir euch uns einen Fotolog vom kleinen Drachen zu senden. Dankeschön!
Fragranze di bosco in riva al mare
Conquistare il titolo di perla verde dell'Alto Adriatico non basta a rendere l'idea delle dimensioni e dell'atmosfera creata dall'ambiente naturale di Eraclea Mare. Bisogna pensare al profumo resinoso di 3.500 pini ad ombrello aperto presenze silenziose alle spalle dell'arenile; bisogna pensare a una spiaggia ampia di piccole dune, ricoperte di tamerici, che corre come una lunga striscia morbida, per tre chilometri, senza interruzioni, a fianco del mare.
A guardare il territorio, il litorale scelto ogni anno da migliaia di bagnanti e la florida pineta, non si direbbe che dietro tutto questo c'è un secolo e mezzo di lavoro.
Tanto durò la bonifica che trasformò la zona in luogo di vacanze a diretto contatto con il verde. Ci sono migliaia di braccianti anonimi dietro la moderna Eraclea Mare e gli sforzi di intere generazioni. Fondamentale è stata la bonifica di Livenzuola, il territorio copreso fra il canale Revedoli e il mare, nonchè il proprietario di questo appezzamento, si chiamava Marco Aurelio Pasti. Fu proprio lui a raccogliere, nella pineta di Ravenna, i pinoli del pinus italicus e a farlo seminare lungo il litorale, rimboschendo così le terre prospicienti il mare, dando vita alla maestosa pineta ed alla nuova Eraclea Mare.
Un drago vive nella pineta. Protegge Eraclea Mare su. Visitarlo! Dato che purtroppo non verremo ad Eraclea Mare prima di maggio 2024, vi chiediamo di inviarci un log fotografico del draghetto. Grazie mille!

Wood fragrances on the seashore
Even if you keep in mind that Eraclea Mare attained the title of Green Pearl of the high Adriatic you cannot have the right idea of the real scenery and atmosphere created by its natural environment. You must think about the resin sweet smell of 3.500 pines forming all together the shape of an open umbrella, as silent creatures behind the beach; you also must think about a wide beach made up by small dunes covered with tamarisks, extended as a three kilometres long soft unbroken strip along the sea.
Looking at the territory, at the coast - chosen every year by thousands bathers - and at the luxuriant pinewood, you wouldn't say that there is over one century work behind all this. It took in fact one century and a half the reclamation work that transformed this area into a holiday resort in deep contact with nature.
Behind the today's Eraclea Mare there are thousands farm labourers and the efforts of whole generations.
Crucial was the land reclamation of 'Livenzuola', the territory stretching between the Revedoli Canal and the sea, but as important as this was the owner of this plot of land,Marco Aurelio Pasti.
He was in fact the one who picked the pine nuts of the pinus italicus in the pinewood of Ravenna and let sow them along the coast, reafforesting in this way the land facing the sea and starting the growing up of the magnificent pinewood as well as, together with it, of the new Eraclea Mare.
A dragon lives in the pine forest. He protects Eraclea Mare. He is unfortunately very lonely and would like to be petted now and then. Since we unfortunately won't be coming to Eraclea Mare until May 2024, we ask you to send us a photo log of the little dragon. Thank you very much!
