There is a path that leads almost all the way to the cache. I'm giving it a 2.5 because there are a couple of uphill/downhill places, but for the most part, it's an easy hike. The cache is 3/10 of a mile from the parking area. The large first aid box contains some cotton swabs, gauzes, wipes, sterile pads and things of that sort that were already in it. We added other items as well -- a few things for kids, etc. There is a log and pen and a travel bug that wants to go to Italy. Enjoy the views! Also, check out the packrat nest nearby that is made up of piles of horse poop. For some reason, I was amused by that:-)
P.S. -- this cache was placed on my son's 45'th birthday. Happy birthday Gary!
