Geocache Description:

Walk the Rock is the name of a 5.3 mile hiking biking route alongside the streets of Rockledge. Walk the Rock is also the name of a series of geocaches on or near that route. Some of the caches are near parking and some aren't. Come prepared for some walking or biking.

Howard's Rock is named for Clemson football coach Frank Howard, who received it as a gift in the early 1960s. Unimpressed, he used it as a doorstop in a back closet. A  few years later he tired of it and told a Clemson booster to take it away. Instead of chucking the rock, the booster placed it on a pedestal at the football stadium. At the next game Clemson came back from an 18-pont deficit to win. Howard's Rock became a good luck symbol and the players routinely rub the rock as they enter the field.
