Back in the early days of geocaching in this area, you had to earn your 1000th find by tracking down a very difficult multi cache put out in your honor. The first time I visted this part of the Jordan Lake Game Lands was to track down the 1K placed for hambone.
Hambone has moved away to Macon GA, but we had some fun times together when he lived in these parts, and walking around this area reminded me of those. So when fredthedog and I came out here today to find the one out here that was still available on my maps we hid a few more. Enjoy the open spaces and trails, and an older forest with minimal undergrowth. Keep in mind you are on state Game Lands and hunters have priority here during hunting seasons. Always wear blaze orange when you are out here in season.
