The first time I wandered around this part of the woods was to track down a 1K multi put out to honor hambone, a cacher who has moved away to GA. While we were out here we found a few others including one called the Zero Reception Cache. It seems the CO had a difficult time getting a good reading on his GPS in this area. I tried to find it recently when we came out this way looking for another newer cache and hid two others on that day. Since I could not find the ZRC the CO archived it. It's too nice a spot to leave open, so fredthedog and I came back out on Valentines Day and hid one here.
This part of the forest is very open with minimal undergrowth. It shouldn't be hard to find this one, please take the time to cover it back up the way so the next person has to look for it a little bit. Keep in mind you are on NC State Game Lands and hunters have priority here during hunting seasons. Always wear blaze orange if you come out here during those times.
