What birds can you see?
At the coordinates you will find yourself next to a rhododendron. Facing towards it, the cache is close to the nearby oak.
This geocache is placed in the corner of Heatherside recreation ground. There is a really good playground with fitness equipment such as running machines. Furthermore, there’s an avenue of giant redwood trees. The nearest parking is in residential roads accessed by turning into Redwood Drive. Alternatively you can go down Cumberland Road and walk through the park.
This is not suitable for wheelchairs as the geocache is in the undergrowth.
In this corner there’s a multitude of lovely songbirds. You can probably hear them; can you see any? I managed to see a gold crest when I placed this geocache.
[16/4/15] It has come to my attention that grannymeeks has placed a series of 6 caches nearby and that my cache is only a 200 metre detour away from #2! However it does involve crossing 'The Maultway' and vehicles can zoom down there fast so take care.
Well done to those who have found the cache already! I'm glad you've liked the cache, however you've got to tread carefully, listen hard and have patience in order to see more birds.
