Geocache Description:

This is the 8th in a series of caches based on the Solar System. Solar System #8 Uranus is the 7th planet from the Sun (Solar System #1),  2.7km from the 1st cache, 2,877,000,000 km in reality. The remaining 7 (Venus, Mercury, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn & Neptune) are placed at increasing intervals from 'The Sun' on theoretical orbits i.e not linear but at increasing distances in differing directions.

You are looking for a Uranus shaped tin. The cache can be found via a short detour off the 'Thundridge Circular Walks - Walk 3 ' Leaflets detailing the excellent local walks can be obtained from the Red Phone Box on Ermine Street.

The cache is very close to a bench where you can take in the views. You will commonly see Red Kites, a Lama! and small planes when there.

Although flat, the ground can be very muddy. Ensure that you stick to the footpath as it is an area where there is lots of standing water. Some of the standing water is covered with green slime so would be easy to miss.
