Please join us for the GHMGC's first CITO event at Lakeside Park, Mississauga, on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 1 pm to 3 pm.
Come help us pickup litter in this beautiful park. There is lots of parking at the posted coords. However, should this fill up, please use next parking lot east.
Meet at 1 pm at GZ near the picnic tables to sign the logsheet, complete the "Participant Agreement Form", pick up supplies and gather for a group photo. Should the weather not be cooperating with us, ie rain, sleet etc, we will meet at the picnic shelter. This is just to the east of the picnic tables and easily within walking distance no matter where you park. See reference coords.
We are working closely with the City of Mississauga who will provide litter bags and will remove the trash we gather. Geocachers should wear appropriate clothing for the weather. Remember, it is along the waterfront so may be cooler and windier here. Mother Nature has a knack for doing that. You might also want to bring thick gloves and grabbers.
Per City of Mississauga regulations, all volunteers will be required to sign a "Participant Agreement Form and Waiver of Liability" which we will have available the morning of the event.
As a bonus, those attending "Cache In Trash Out (CITO)" events the weekend of April 25-26 will earn a new souvenir for their geocaching profile.
