1.  This cache was hidden for CARW2015

You are looking for a micro. No longer on private property - it is located in the alley beside the house of a very avid Eskimos fan.

Peggy Miller-Day was a legend in her own time. A woman working in the male dominated world of broadcasting in the mid-twentieth century she often joked she was "The Broad" in broadcasting. In 1945 she began her career as a receptionist/switchboard operator at CJCA radio and quickly moved into the role of Continuity Editor and eventually became the Director of Creative Promotion and Community Relations. In 1952 she penned the words to the Edmonton Eskimos Fight song - a tradition still sung at home games today. In 1964 she was was named by the Western Association of Broadcasters their First Lady Honorary Lifetime Member. She spent some time out West moving to Vancouver in 1968 to work at CKWX. She retired in 1982 and was inducted into the Canadian Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2005. In 1998 Peggy co-founded the Edmonton Broadcasters Club. Peggy Miller-Day passed away October 5, 2013 a few weeks short of her 90th birthday.
