How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Matthew Henson was the first African American Arctic Explorer, which kind of makes him like a geocacher in the winter climates here. The park named after him is a greenway along the Turkey Branch of Rock Creek. The park runs from Aspen Hill to Layhill, Maryland, linking the Rock Creek Trail with the Sligo Creek Trail.

Leave all your fancy clothes at home, because you will be getting dirty on this one! You are looking for a micro container hidden in an uncomfortable location. No need to go too far in, and one should be able to find the cache using only natural light. Please be sure to re-hide the cache well, and make sure it is SECURE.
