How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

A small cache located along a quiet tree-lined street in the Layerthorpe area of York.

A small container, with enough space for small trackables. Contains log only, so bring your own pen! Unfortunately, geocachers of the shorter variety might need to jump/stretch/climb in order to reach the cache - please take extra care.

Keep on the lookout for muggles, as there's always people passing Lawrence Street during the day.

Accessing the GZ is easy - 2 minutes from Sustrans cycle route 658 (via. St. Nicholas Fields); or a 5 minute walk from Walmgate Bar. I don't recommend you come by car - parking on Lawrence Street is mostly permit only.

While you're here, why not continue down Bull Lane to explore St. Nicholas Fields. 24 acres of wildlife, converted from a landfill in 2004.
