Number 3 in my Rail Fan Series. Caboose and Station are very close making it easy to visit both.
UP Caboose #25214. Built in July 1952 and retired May 1989. Donated to Grand Saline Historical Society in September of 1989. At some point repainted to its present paint scheme. The station was moved from its orignial location to its present location several years ago. The operating hours for the depot (Grand Saline Library) as of this date are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. Much of the original interior is intact or has been restored.
