Geocache Description:

This cache is a short 2 stage multi located in the Southeast part of the city.

For this my 8th Multicache I have decided to place a  cache based on The 7 That Came First.

A couple years back when I first decided to hide geocaches the first one I did was a Multi. The cache was recieved quite well and garnered some very positive comments. The things I kept hearing from cachers and seeing in the logs were "this is such an amazing and fun cache it's too bad people don't like Multis" or "Wow this is a really great multi if more were like this they wouldn't be so unpopular". From then on I decided to make it my mission to bring the Multi back to restore it's former glory as something unique something special and something fun rather than what it seemed to have become an annoyance a pain in the but something to avoid. I decided that to achieve my goal the Multis would have to be very fun very creative with original ideas. I also knew that it would be important that all the stages be kept in good shape and that I respond as quickly as possible to reports of dammaged or missing stages as well as timely responses to requests for feild help and additional hints and clues when requested. With all this in mind I released a total of 7 Multis over the next year and the response of positivity began to grow as more and more cachers started seeking the Multis I was hiding and the logs and comments continued to get more and more positive. I am glad many people seem to be enjoying my Multis and I hope that more will come and find them and that other cachers will hide more creative and fun Multis for me and others to find.

Now let me mention this although the feedback on my multis has generally been very positive there has also been a small amount of negative comments mostly concerning the amount of stages at most of my Multis. For this reason I have decided to make this Multi a very short and simple 2 stager... the shortest greatbigdiddy Multi ever !!

You do not need to have found any of my multis in order to find this cache however it might be helpful to at least know the names and a little about them so ...... Here is a quick summary of The 7 That Came First

1. Caching Up with Depeche Mode (GC4HBZJ) - This was my first ever cache and I spent a long time planning it. I decided to make the  containers and clues themed with my all time favorite band and I chose a cemetary as the location to go along with the theme as the band is viewed by many as a dark gloomy band although I feel that is not really the case.

2. Greatbigdiddy’s Magic Pinecone (GC57GTF) - For my second Multi I decided I wanted to place a cache that would be alot of fun to complete. The stages at this cache are very interactive making it a big hit with the younger cachers but the adults seem to really have a blast here too. I chose a location close to home for this one as i thought there be alot of maintanence but really it has held up quite well so far.

3. Titanic (GC57XWQ) - Truly an epic adventure this Multi is a whopping 10 stages (but they are all very close together in a small but very beautiful park with a lake). This is the first Multi in my series of caches based on some of my favorite films. All the stages, clues and containers are based on scenes from the film Titanic. As you move from stage to stage reliving the classic adventure of Jack and Rose you can't help getting swept up in the story. A few cachers have even claimed this is the greatest caching experience they have ever had one even confided to me that they broke into tears as the emotion of the unfolding story overcame them as they completed the final stage. Now thats a Geocache !!

4. The Shawshank Redemption (GC58COE) - Most fans of my Multis will tell you that this cache is my true masterpiece. It is the second cache in my series devoted to my favorite films. Although it has only half as many stages as Titanic ... Shawshank may be my grandest endeavor as I really put alot of attention to detail in setting up the different stages each devoted to a memorable scene from the film. The location right next to Spy Hill Prison was chosen to reflect the theme of the prison film.

5. Diddy’s Favorite Movies (GC59N3P) - This Multi is one of my personal favorites. For this cache I expanded the idea of my favorite films being the theme of the cache. I incorporated an element of using youtube videos as clues and coordinate substitustions. Combining that with some sneaky little hides in some very public places that follow an unfolding theme as you go along make this one alot of fun and provide very underated twist on the classic Multi.

6. Seinfeld …. Four !!! (GC59TNB) - Based on an episode of one of the greatest TV shows of all time this Multi puts yet another original twist on the art of coordinate substitutions. You will have fun as you move from stage to stage discovering the unfolding theme and just when you think you have the whole thing figured out the cache throws a little wrench in your plans if only for a second before you see the obvious and continue on your journey. The locations of each stage prominently reflect the theme of the Multi.

7.  The Mentalist & The Magic Box (GC5BP7X) - A Multi built to blow your mind this cache took some serious planning. The idea was to make a cache that seriously interacted with the cacher as they went through a session with The Mentalist. It involves a complicated array of hides and interactive coordinate choices all in an effort to read the cachers mind and guide them all the way to the final ... where their minds will be completely blown.

There you have it everything you need to know about The 7 That Came First.

You will need to be able to access these 7 cache pages in order to complete the cache

As always no spoilers in your logs and photos .... thanks

Now get out there and try to find a multi and have some fun & Remember it's not about the smiley ... it's about what you did to get the smiley.

Cheers!!! ........ **NOTE - Stage one of this multi is temporarily out of commission ... at stage 1 you would normally find a field puzzle that once solved would lead you to the location of the final stage ... for the time being I will provide that field puzzle below in digital image form so you can solve it and get the coords to the final stage ... have fun here is the field puzzle .... I may add a temporary geo checker to this page as well below the puzzle enjoy !!!
