Memorial Park
Memorial Park, Nahariya, Israel
The sculpure name is Morning. It was created was created by artist Ilana Goor in 1977. Material is bronze. Height 180cm.
This sculpture was created in memory of the terror victims who fell in Nahariya in the terrorist attack in 1974.
The sculpture depicts in geometric lines a female figure awakening early and stretching her limbs.
She is kneeling and her hands are linked at the back of her neck. Her hands create the shape of two triangles with their vertexes touching as such that it evokes the symbol representing “infinity”.
One can relate to the woman’s awakening as a kind of ritual recurring on a daily basis alike the daily memory of the victims which accompanies their dear ones.
Cache size is 250ml small container with logsheet, pencil and some trade.
