Geocache Description:

Meridian Road near Old Main Street in Marengo.

Travel back to a time when the Marengo Academy was a light in the wilderness of early Indiana. At the Marengo Academy, Professor Johnson taught the students about life, the universe and everything. However, the students were all male. My great grandmother, Celestine, got to go to the academy with her brother-but to keep house for him. She was a sharp lady and become the adult spelling bee champion of the county. She kept a dictionary by her side until the day she died-always learning.
