This point is accessible at low tide to see what is left of the wreck of the Coastal steamer S.S. Merrimbula 1928 ( there is a plaque at the site).
There is a beach, not good for swimming , but millions of shells and other flotsam. Good fishing here for Black fish and others, off the rocks. To get to the cache it is over some rocks, however it is easy walking.
Looking NW you can see Coolangatta Mountain home of Alexander Berry. the first land owner of the area.( 72,000 acres). today a winery and tourist stop for history and restaurant..
To the south west a good view of Currarong village. Looking west is the Crookhaven Bight with the escarpment in the background.
Congratulations to "wandering stars" for the FTF
