Geocache Description:

This is a series of 6 Geocaches with small gifts set in and around Hylands Park. Hylands Park opens every day at 7.30 am and closes between 5pm and 10 pm depending on the time of year. Please note the park is closed for approximately 2 weeks in August. Opening Times can be found at www.chelmsford.gov.uk/hylands-park

1 of 6.  Chelmsford City Council has introduced car parking charges for Hylands Park; please see https://www.chelmsford.gov.uk/parking-and-travel/hylands-car-parks/ for details.

A varied collection of Geo-caches suitable for children, each small cache has little gifts in to swap. Hoping that groups such as cubs, brownies, scouts and guides will be tempted to go hunting, and the park up the road makes an excellent drop of point.

Writtle Lodge was built in the mid 1900 when John Attwood extended the park. The Lodge is now detached from Hylands Park by the A414 road but access to the park is possible via the underpass.
