This cache is placed as part of the Beli Manastir v3.14 event. Watch for mugglers and please return it as you found it. DO NOT ENTER IN LOCOMOTIVE AND WAGONS! CACHE IS OUTSIDE. We would like you to take some pictures.

Ćiro is locomotive produced in 1952. by „Đuro Đaković“ (water volume 1600 liters, coal 0.16t). This composition was used to transport workers to the sugar factory in Šećerana, school children and other passangers. Route of transport, with years, become increasingly shorter. Before he totally stopped, due to increased transportation workers by buses, Ćiro daily traveled between sugar factory and Beli Manastir on 2 km long narrow rails. With departure from the sugar factory in every full hour and departure from Beli Manastir in every hour and thirty minutes, starting 5:00 to 22:30 hours. The ride lasted until 5-10 minutes, depending on drivers mood. In Šećerana, you always knew when is full hour because Ćiro advertise whistle before departure. When Ćiro was traveling from the sugar factory, locomotive was the last, and when traveled from Beli Manastir locomotive was first. Of course, among young people, very popular was crossings between wagons while driving. There were two stations for pumping water in the steam boiler. One was in Šećerana at the elementary school, and the other within the sugar factory, where the locomotive rest until the next morning. Ticket price was symbolic even for that time. 0,50 DIN for school children up to 2 dinars for adults in one direction. Also, there were monthly ticket made of green cardboard.
Today, Ćiro lies here, abandoned... Although, protected by Department of culture, insufficient resources for restauration make its future not bright.. Probably, it will be ruined by weather and scrap metal collectors..
