What lies underneath this building is a pool of memories. My mom use to bring me to this place almost everyday of every summer to swim. It was called the, "Town Pool". I loved coming here to swim and enjoy a bottle coke and a zero candy bar that was kept in a cooler. I also competed in many swim meets held here. I especially like diving off the high dive, after the initial scare of heights wore off. I'm not really sure why the pool closed down but it sat useless for many years until they covered it with dirt and used it for a parking lot during the fair. It wasn't until recent years that the new building was built. I remember even after the pool was covered, it was used as a landmark for giving directions. I sure do wish the pool was still here and open so that the kids today would have somewhere to go during the summer like I did. Memories of yesteryear. When you log your find, please include some memories of the old "Town Pool" if you have any. No need to remove cache container, only lid. Log only. BYOP
